Massage Questions & Answers:
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete a medical history form and receive a skin/body consultation, so we may be able to customize a program to best suit your requirements.
What we recommend:
- Arrive according to the times above to make sure you get your full time on the table. Arriving late can cause you to lose paid service time.
- Drink lots of water after your massage. This will help relieve any soreness and assist in flushing toxins out of the muscles.
- Please go to a Chiropractor or your Doctor first if you are in serious pain.
What do I do BEFORE a Massage?
Please inform your therapist if you have any injuries or pain that they should know about. Therapists are not physicians, please always consult your doctor about any questions you you may have about pain in your body or about getting massage services. You will fill out a form to let the therapist know about any issues they need to be prepared for to avoid injuries.
What do I do DURING a Massage?
We encourage you to communicate to your therapist about how the massage is going. For example, please let your therapist know if the pressure is sufficient. All of our therapists are Licensed, please trust that they have been trained to know what can and can not be provided in their licensed training for effective results. If you're not satisfied with the massage or therapist, you have the right to terminate the appointment. Similarly, the therapist may terminate the session if he or she is uncomfortable. Sexually inappropriate comments or contact WILL NOT be tolerated.
What do I do AFTER a Massage?
If you have enjoyed the massage, be sure to let your therapist know. It's helpful to the therapist to know what you liked and disliked so that they can ensure a repeat of things you liked when you revisit. We can make notes from your comments on your form to ensure that we know what you are looking for in your treatment. Therapists will receive a tip from your payment total, you do not need to add an additional tip to your payment to give to the therapist.
At the end of all your services you can wait in the "Green Room" to enjoy complimentary refreshments & snacks before changing to go home.
We have a showering service ONLY for clients receiving Body Treatment Services.
Can I leave my Massage Therapist a tip?
All the Therapists at Sycamore Day Spa will receive a 15% tip from your payment total, you do not need to add an additional tip to your payment to give to the therapist. If you feel that you want to leave more than the 15% we have in our prices, it is up to you.
